🚨 Scammers Stealing Information From Destroyed Debit Cards
Beware of this new trend. Scammers posing as bank representatives trick victims into cutting up their debit cards while leaving the chip intact, then send someone to collect it. By combining the chip with a PIN they convince victims to share, they can quickly drain accounts.
The scam relies on urgency, fake caller IDs, and in-person pickup, so never follow such instructions—hang up and contact your bank directly using an official number.
